Lorenzo Donadeo, President & CEO of Vermilion Energy Inc., is pleased to announce the appointments of Anthony Marino, Gerard Schut and Terry Hergott to Vermilion’s senior leadership team. These appointments position the company for continued sustainable growth through the development of resource plays and strategic value-added acquisitions, together with a stable and growing dividend.
Mr. Hergott will be responsible for the sales and marketing of all natural gas, crude oil and other by-products produced by Vermilion and its 100-per-cent-owned subsidiaries.
A marketing executive with 25 years of experience related to North American crude, Mr. Hergott has a seasoned understanding of oil and gas contracts negotiation. He also brings to Vermilion a strong network of relationships with all the major producing companies, as well as with the pipeline operators, downstream refiners and trading companies.
Mr. Hergott is the former Canadian supply and trading manager for Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s Canadian office, where he spent 13 years leading a team of traders and schedulers responsible for the supply, logistics and marketing of 250,000 BPD of crude. During this time, Mr. Hergott successfully developed and implemented Marathon’s key crude supply and trading strategies in a manner that consistently met or exceeded corporate goals.
Prior to his tenure at Marathon, Mr. Hergott held senior marketing positions with Ashland Scurlock Permian Canada Ltd., Devon Canada Corporation and Imperial Oil.
Mr. Hergott holds a B.Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan.
